In this episode, the Geeks jump back into Destiny 2 and do a deep dive review of the latest expansion Forsaken.

  • Plot

    • The expansion takes place in the Reef.  The story revolves around a massive fallen breakout from the Prison of Elders by a house of rogue undead Fallen known as the Scorn, who are led by Uldren Sov, the former prince and now traitor to the Reef. Cayde-6 has been murdered by Uldren, and it is up to you the Guardian to avenge his death. In the campaign, the Guardian must work alongside Petra Venj to hunt down the eight Barons who lead the Scorn.  Along with discovery of the mysterious Awoken homeland known as the Dreaming City.

  • Mass Effect: Andromeda is coming very soon. March 21st is the official release, and Iogro and Victus will be jumping in as soon as it hits the systems to check out the much awaited fourth installment of this series.
  • We discuss how Andromeda has a big set of shoes to fill as the first three installments of the game brought a rich story, fulfilling game-play, and a very big cliffhanger at the end of Mass Effect 3.
  • We talk through the story aspects of the game and what gaps a 600 year expanse could potentially bring both the game, and the players experience.
    Will Andromeda bring a connection of old as well as new and give players the ability to see how Andromeda came about, or will this be a completely separate story moving into a new universe.
  • Has Bio-Ware waited to long to release Andromeda and have they lost the player base to keep things exciting for the new Mass Effect release, or have they done a good job with keeping the hype up and fulfilling the gaming communities need for this game.

All Things Geekery Podcast – Episode 1 The Rise & Fall of Virtual Reality

What a crazy ride this has been but a ride well worth the wait as WE, myself and Victus made our first podcast!  Yes, another podcast about stuff, geeky stuff to be specific.

We’ve been working on this thing for a long time, and we have probably hit every little bump along the way….but we stuck with our passion and we knew VICTORY would be ours in the end, as we triumphantly defeated those pesky technical issues that kept haunting us over the last few months.

In our very first episode we get a bit sidetracked for a few minutes and talk about our recent gaming adventures in Fallout 4, Destiny, and the awe inspiring wonder of The Division.

Then we move right into the main content for this episode which is….The rise and fall AND rise again of virtual reality.

This process has been such a fun journey to dive into, and at times we dove into the deep end of the pool when all the water had been drained out, but overall WE did it!!

We are still in the process of getting approvals for iTunes, but we are super excited to share this with everyone and hope you enjoy, so give us a shout and feedback as we’d love to hear from you all!
